i feel this needs to be said
i understand that being lgbtq+++ is entiReLy different to being straight. i understand that. and i, a straight female, personally think gay people are honestly amazing and so funny, but some (NOT ALL) don’t seem to understand that straight people can too, like gays, have actual feelings towards relationships??? and towards other people?? one of my close friends (who is lesbian) is always talking about girls she meets, lovingly talks about them and constantly talking about her feelings towards them, and cool, i’m happy for you. but literally ANYTIME i mention a boy in any kind of way she rolls her eyes at me and goes on about how i’m a typical straight. what? am i not to have any sort of feelings of love just because i’m straight? there was literally a time where she said to me “oh you’d like this movie i watched, the main character has abs. that’s all you straights look for in guys isn’t it?”. . . no?i mean i’d qUite like a kind guy who had some sort of personality rather than just abs. it’d be nice to have the same kind of support back whenever i show interest in a boy. anyway, rant over.
