Welp I’ve fallen into the Vocaloid fandom.
I love fandesigns for Vocaloids, especially the Engloids. But some of them supremely annoy me as well. The other day I was feeling especially pissed off by the fanon Leon design and just how boring it is??? Â
Even ignoring the fact that he’s white when the voice provider is black, it just looks so boring... So I doodled a headshot concept for what I imagine Leon would look like, and I threw in Lola too. Â
Lola’s popular fanon design isn’t as bad as Leon’s IMO, so I kept some elements of it, like the short dark gray hair with straight-ish bangs. But I still made her design match Leon and the boxart more.
Normally I’m pretty bad at drawing and designing human characters but I’m actually proud of these...
I like to think of these two as siblings more than as a couple.
