"ANIMUS" [#animus.] — follows Luz Miramontes, who tries to live her life as fully as possible despite her many predicaments: an on-off romance with a trodden-down fool; an aimless mission to be friends with the middle-aged grump next door; and the awfully strange, somewhat deadly, office drama. // where aminus (n.) means either... (1) "hostilty or ill feeling" or (2) "motivation to do something"

SECTION GUIDE :

1. "THE WIND IS RISING." — Matteo begins warming up to his pestering neighbours, Luz and Adaeze. Luz prepares for an interview and meets her boyfriend's roommates.

2. "HOW DO YOU LIVE? / START OF THE END." — A collection of meetings and the sparks of new relationships.

3. "EUTHANIZED DOGS." — Tension rises between Luz and Kian with their new living situation. Luz's meddlesome boss, Ms. Jordan, pokes into her relationship with Matteo.

4. "I LACK THE WILL." — After a year-long silence, Matteo's noisiest neighbour returns. Luz investigates the patterns of suspicious behaviors exhibited by her co-workers.

5. "RAVAGE. / EAT." — Luz gives Kian another chance, much to Adaeze's concern. Matteo, who'd suddenly gone missing for a few months, returns injured and Ms. Jordan makes threats.

6. "LETTERS TO FELICE." — Luz is fired. She moves back in with Adaeze after her second break-up with Kian. Matteo attempts to amend his relationship with Luz while struggling to maintain his position at work.

7. "ENOUGH OF GRIEF. / JUNIPER." — Matteo manages to reconnect with Luz and helps her accept Kian via friendship. That is, until a fatal accident occurs and Matteo disappears again.

8. "ILL-FATED. / TOO LATE TO GET OFF..." — Everything goes wrong ! <3

"JUST ABOUT: WHAT I WISH WOULD HAPPEN" [#ja.] — a short epistolary novella (i.e. journal entries) of an uptight woman visiting the small town of Arkaainnen to escape her life after a disastrous break-up. // all characters are unnamed !

"LADY OF SORROWS" — a murder mystery of sorts. there had been a plot, which is now very much lost. was once intended to be a tv series.
