So I've started making videos and streaming. Like almost every day.
And this is pretty nuts right? Because I have pretty bad social anxiety, and I'm extremely shy and introverted and I suck at talking to myself. But I'm still doing it? And I don't know, maybe it's dumb, maybe nothing will come of it, but it feels really nice to actually be able to do this now. To dare to record and show my voice. I hate my voice but I'm trying to ignore that. And the videos are sloppy and amateur, and I'm using the lousy built in mic from my broken webcam but I've gotten a few likes that are not from my friends and that's insane to me. Someone that didn't have to like it liked it. That's pretty nuts.
The most easy videos for me to make seem to be guide videos that talk about, you guessed it, swtor gearing. Idk, I just like it. My voice comes out more naturally, I stutter less. I have a harder time with other types of stuff. But my first video that was full on gearing talk has done the best. And I'm glad because I rewatch it and I see a cooler version of myself, someone who dareisay is confident in what they're talking about? It's just nice.
In the back of my head I'm worried that this is a waste of time. Just another way of procrastinating facing reality. But if it wasn't that I think it'd just be something else, and at least with this it feels like I'm seeing growth and improvement in myself.
