OKK!!! How Draco acted around you is based on a bunch of things tbh. If you’re in the same house as him, if you’re friends with Harry, if you knew him beforehand, etc.

Let’s just explore all of these topics, since they eventually lead to the same outcome !!!

IF you’re in the same house as him, he already likes you to an extent. He values Slytherin more than any other house, so he has a good opinion of you just because of that. If you’re a Ravenclaw, he doesn’t hate you (since Ravenclaws are just more laidback, far less aggressive versions of Slytherin’s lmao) If you’re a Hufflepuff.. he probably compares you to a dog in his mind lol. Loyal and friendly. He thinks both of those traits are foolish. (He canonically suppresses all good sides of himself, and he rejects compassion, so he may even feel a little envious.. </3)

If you’re a Gryffindor, he hates you. He thinks you’re so annoying, he just completely judges you based on your house. Someone (probably Blaise) would have to push him to get to know you.

If you’re friends with Harry.. ugh. He thinks you have bad taste, first of all. Second of all, Draco is mainly just jealous of Harry, so you being around him is sort of a part of that. He just dislikes you and he views you as an extension of Harry—it’s hard to explain. (Hope I did a good enough job 😭)

But for the sake of him actually being nice to you, let’s say you two become friends. You’d either have to impress him, or possibly be his friend beforehand. Maybe you’re really good at Quidditch or anything revolving the wizarding world. Regardless, you two don’t hate each other. Great!

I feel like he has some internalized homophobia from his family.

So he probably went through a LOT for him to even realize that he liked you???

Lots of late night contemplation, lots of lingering touches, fond words, affectionate glances—you get the point. Yearning.

At first, he would deny any sort of love or compassion from you. He’s a Malfoy, he doesn’t need this..

But.. we all know he does.

If you’re constant, if you’re persistent, if you’re patient and understanding, he’ll slowly open up to you!

And once he DOES, you better stay. He needs that pillar of support.

When his father’s expectations weigh down too heavily, he goes to you.

When he wants to complain about his best friend, Harry Potter (every day..) he goes to you!

When literally anything slightly bothers him, he goes to you!

And in exchange for your support, he’s as genuine and honest as he can be.

Please note that while he IS soft on you, he’s still Draco Lucius Malfoy.

Therefore, he still holds his ambitions ahead of his relationships.

But still, you’re his partner in crime, he won’t let anything happen to you.

So first of all, his love languages are most likely gift giving, maybe acts of service? (As in you doing things for him lmao) And words of affirmation.

He likes buying things for you, he has plenty of money to go around to any hobbies, or clothes—anything you want, or even show slight interest in, it’s yours. An owl will deliver it in five hours, keep your dorm window open.

His nicknames for you are definitely elegant, they’ve gotta have that regal vibe to them, you know?

If you call him your prince, he will MELT. Whatever you want, you’ll get it. Just keep calling him that.

If you’d like to cause mischief and mayhem together, bullying Harry and his friends is a great pastime </3 (I do NOT agree with this statement..)

But if you want him to back off and be a bit nicer.. he’ll never be nice to Harry, or that mudblood, or that poor ginger.. but he’ll lay off. He won’t be as bad to them. He’s still a dick, don’t get me wrong, but he tries for you. That’s something, right?

He lovessss sneaking out with you. I don’t have proof I can just feel it.

If you have an owl, or a cat, he probably tries to have a good relationship with it. You’ll occasionally find him asleep with your dear companion.

His favorite days are slow, rainy days in his common room or dorm where he can just sit with you. Your hands threading through his pale locks, his head in your lap.. it’s all just so peaceful, he savors these moments.

If you two ever had a fight, I feel like he would come off strong, then when he’s alone, he would rethink everything and get mad at himself.

In the moment, he’s stubborn and cruel as a way to protect himself, but then he realizes what he’s done, and..

This leads to someone knocking on your door in a panic.

He would 100% try and buy your love back, with your favorite snacks, flowers, clothes—anything. He just needs you back.

He’s a sweetheart, I promise.

He loves you so much, he just has a hard time showing it.

But if you’re patient, he’ll put in the work too.
