“Rassvet” 6x19
I haven't a single worry. The entire 6th season seeded my theories. The entire S7 premiere seeded my theories. Every spoiler I see for S7 seeds my theories, including both the promo and the peek for 7x2.
That’s why I laugh at this fandom. IF people were even remotely paying attention to Rassvet, they would see it. Those initial scenes of Ilya’s were not part of Dom’s story. You see him get the crossword, you see him solve it in a cafe, you see him go to Union Station, then you see him go to the motel where he first meets with Katarina. These were kept from the story Dom told Liz. How do you know? Because even AFTER those scenes, Liz spoke to her mother being alone when she was in a fucking motel with Ilya. That’s the point. “Histories” shown in the crossword. They’re telling the audience there are two stories: This story and that story. Liz is only getting one. That’s why Dom said, “I wish I had a different story, but ... Because there are two stories in Rassvet for the two people who needed to disappear. That’s why you have two imposters in story now. So when you watch Dom load his rifle, you know. So when you watch Katarina and her men shoot up Dom’s house, you know. So when you watch Dom get shot, you know. So when you watch Liz and Agnes get hit, you know. It’s called keeping a character in character. A simple concept for writers. Dom’s opening statement about his daughter waiting half her life to be reborn. That is the hook of the Rassvet story - just like the hook of this entire series. A simple concept for writers. At the end of the story, you see Katarina being reborn - just like you see Red’s hook come out in the imposter reveal.
They’re circling back to the tree. Katarina is after answers regarding the Townsend Directive, and this is a recent rift. When two people become imposters for the sake of protecting each other, and one doesn’t seek answers until now - know that it has to do with recent events. She already knows about past shit, she was there. The Townsend Directive explains why Red turned himself in. Anyone even remotely paying attention to the series would already know the answer to this. They kill Tom Keen first - for a reason. Why? Because he can’t come back and assume the blame. Guilt lands on Liz’s shoulders just like guilt landed on her mother’s. Parallel after parallel. A mother and a son disappeared and faked their deaths 30 years ago. One came back to life in S4. The other was unearthed with the suitcase. Red told Tom, “Nothing good will come from digging up secrets.” And here comes Kate with the suitcase, holding three: Raymond’s, Katarina’s, and Ilya’s. Red not wanting Tom to dig into his father when Howard’s plane went down. Probably because Howard isn’t Tom’s father. That was NEVER confirmed. In fact, he set that DNA report on fire, and didn’t even bother to show us what DNA he used for the test. When Tom came back to life to save his mother, they didn’t show how he came back to life.
Like I said, I’m not worried. They’re giving me every reason not to be because they’re seeding MY theories. How fucking hilarious it would be if I knew more about Tom's character than Tom lovers do. Apparently, I’m the only one who gave a shit about his character not making sense. Those three people of 30 years ago are about to play out again: Katarina, Ilya, and Christopher.
Tom: It is that simple. Liz: What if we were talking about your father? What if you suddenly found him? Would you be able to walk away?
Red: It’s not that simple. Red: Whatever you're doing, whatever it is you think you're going to tell Elizabeth, this is a mistake. Walk away from this, Tom.
Raymond, there’s nothing in this world you can tell me to change my mind.
In S7, I predict Ressler will step in the opposite of Ilya's shoes because past and present are about to collide. I believe imposter Katarina will die. (Allies today, enemies tomorrow). I believe Ressler will pledge his life to Liz in marriage just as Ilya pledged his life to Katarina. (Romeo). And I believe Ressler will save Red as if he were his own mother just as Ilya promised to care for Masha as if she were his own daughter. (Juliet) Basically, Ressler keeping both mother and daughter safe like he promised to keep Liz safe back in S3. I believe this will also place Ressler in Kate's shoes - as she intended. wanting to keep both Liz and Agnes safe. This will also place him in the opposite of Tom's shoes - as Kate didn't intend, placing Liz and Agnes in danger.
And I believe Agnes will be Ressler’s daughter.
I think Red is Katarina, Liz’s mother. And Katarina is Ilya, Tom’s father.
The suitcase was none of Liz’s business. Revealing the real Raymond would reveal Red’s identity. The suitcase was none of Tom’s business. Revealing Ilya would reveal Red’s real identity.
Family secrets.

References all through the place. The wolf/lion scene with Kat and Agnes. The Cape May scene when Red walks onto the beach. Vontae calling Red a kitte kat. Red is the lion after all. Cash calling him a cat, “What's a cat like you doing driving an old beater like that?” Major calling Tom a dog. Annie referring to the men in the bar as wolves. Red speaking of those wolves circling Liz. Cats are soft then hard then soft again. There are wolf soundtracks too. One for Tom, but I can’t pinpoint the scene to grab it. I think it’s back in S3.
What I like most about the promo, is something they’ve done several times, and have done it for good reason. Ressler already misgendered Katarina. Or did he? Already strengthening the theory that Katarina is actually Ilya - who appears to be a danger to Agnes.
That needle in your arm becomes the one in your neck.
