Dean and Cas have been next-door neighbors and best friends since they were both four years old. They’ve been through everything together. Cas was there for Dean when his mother died, and his father started going off the rails. Dean was there for Cas while he came to terms with his sexuality and came out to his religious family.

Now they’re both eighteen and Cas is secretly, hopelessly in love with Dean. After years of ignoring his burgeoning feelings, Cas finds the courage to come clean just before he moves across the country to attend college in California. Determined, Cas pours his feelings out into a letter and leaves it for Dean to find. It isn’t until eight years later that Dean finally receives the letter, and that single sheet of yellowed notebook paper turns his entire world upside down.

1. What is the best compliment you’ve ever received, the one piece of praise that really sticks out in your mind? uh oh no I am the worst person to ask for this because I can’t accept compliments and have really low self esteem honestly any compliment is the best compliment?? I’ve been complimented on my teaching, which is good because that’s my career lol... complimented on my writing and my dancing which feels amazing because those are my hobbies and passions y’know? Sorry I don’t have a better answer for this!

2. Weirdest food/ food combination that you love? I AM SEVERELY FAILING AT THIS I’m a super picky eater so everything I eat is really bland. buttered noodles. pretzels. apples with peanut butter. UGH.

3. What would your spirit animal/ totem/ patronus be, and why? My patronus would probably be a feline of some kind because I love to sleep and then have random bouts of high energy and I act like I don’t give a fuck but I’m secretly very sensitive

4. Favorite dirty joke (or clean is fine, if you prefer)? I’m literally not funny at all so I can’t tell jokes or anything?? I love funny stories though, Mr. Boning and I are always cracking up about the weird shit we do

5. If you cosplay/ ever got the chance to cosplay, which character would you be? I would actually love to cosplay as Castiel sometime with a trench coat and wings

6. One of your bad habits? BITING MY NAILS I WAS DOING SO WELL BUT I FELL OFF THE BANDWAGON THIS PAST WEEK

7. A song that always makes you feel nostalgic? Hmmm. Castle On a Hill by Ed Sheeran is a recent one. When We Were Young by Adele. Beautiful Disaster by John McLaughlin for sure.

8. How did you choose your tumblr URL? Because I need Dean and Cas to channel their profound bond into some profound boning ASAP

9. Is love at first sight a real thing? What about true love/ soulmates? I think all of the above are real in a really fluid way, I guess. I loved Mr. Boning the moment I saw him even though I pretended like I didn’t lmao. I do think he’s my true love and my soulmate. I also think that I could have another soulmate. In fact, I know that I had one in my first best friend in college. He ended up hurting me really badly and that stings to this day, but I know that our friendship was real and that our souls were change for the better through our bond. This tells me that I can be deeply connected to someone for a short or a long time and that we can be each other’s soulmates regardless of other circumstances. My little sister is absolutely the love of my life. Also, she’s ace or maybe aroace, so even if she never has a relationship like mine (sexual and romantic) she could still have any number of people in her life that could be her soulmate in a unique way.

10. The book/ poem/ fic that changed your life? Oh shit... Books include the Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings universes. Poetry is anything by Andrea Gibson tbh. Fic would be such an extensive list but honestly anything where one of them (usually cas) is a linguist because it always fans the flame in me to pursue linguistics! Also fic is what lead me to learn more about sexuality and to accept my own sexual orientation to that’s a plus.

11. What is the one piece of advice that you think everyone should hear? You’ve been deceived into thinking that right now, whatever stage of your life you’re in, you’re supposed to have it all figured out. It’s okay that you don’t. It’s okay that one or three or five or fifteen years from now you might want to make a decision to radically change the way that your life works right now, and that’s okay. You can do absolutely anything you set your mind to with the right support system. So don’t stress about things you can’t control, surround yourself with positive and compassionate people, and focus on the little things that improve your daily and weekly and monthly life. Try that new hobby. Eat that junk food. Get 8 hours of sleep. Give 100% effort at your job. You are doing amazing just by doing you.
