Jokes aside, the tour is indeed off (to no surprise).
We were really looking forward to rocking Hellfest, Tuska, Provinssi, Rock Fest Barcelona, Ilosaari, Wacken and Summer Breeze this summer, but here we are…hopefully we’ll have a slot in each festival’s lineup in 2021.
However, the current situation is indeed stressful. We’ve invested quite a bit of time and money to the pre-production/planning of our special show, all of which were to be paid with the concert fees. We won't go into detail how the shows are done (that'll remain a surprise) but as you know, Belzebubs is not your average band (yes, there's tons of animation involved)...Now that the gigs won’t happen, we’re looking at a 50 000 euro debt, due in a couple of months. Naturally this is a financial disaster to Belzebubs, as we weren’t expecting to make any money off the first tour anyhow. We were barely going to cover the pre-production costs, crew, materials, flights, accommodation, etc. in the first place.
That’s the status quo in a nutshell.
So bare with us, we’ve been figuring out a way to claw ourselves back from this situation, but there seem to be a lot of things limiting our plans at the moment; time, money, contracts, etc. Seems quite fitting that the minute Belzebubs is getting its shit together, a global pandemic sets loose. 😅But we won’t yield, and hope to see you all very soon.
Take care, stay safe, wash your hooves and remember to satanise the house. 🤘
