to illusory-number: Some Changes
Kaida sat with Xion outside of the cafe, both drinking their usual poisons of tea and coffee respectively. It was finally easier this time to communicate to each other after meeting up so many other times. They had figured each other out well enough to not be as awkward as when they had first met. And with the recent passing of the beginning of the new year, they both seemed to be in the mood for change. The young woman looked up from her tea, smiling from another comment that only solidified Xi's fascination with jellyfish. As Xion smoked her cigarette, the wind blew the smoke and her hair. Kaida watched the girl, coolly aggravated, as she fixed her hair and apologized for the sudden burst of smoke in her face, fixing the strands of hair that fell out of place and commented on how aggravating it was to have hair at a certain length. Kaida nodded in agreement, mentioning that she was planning on possibly getting rid of her long locks for good. A few moments later, she looked back to her friend and said, "Speaking of change..." She had thought long and hard about it before even coming today. And maybe it was just the spirit of the holidays or just the warmth of her tea that made her feel comfortable. Nonetheless, Kaida finally asked Xion about getting another tattoo. "You obviously don't have to. I just think it would mean the world to me if you were the one that did it."
