When working with various spirits/Deities etc. in your practice be cognizant of what you are up to and don’t mix and match.  Keeps things and pantheons separate.  Also, when putting out offerings, make sure they are specific to the system that each particular spirit is from.  Also, some historical research is always good, preferably from the local library, the local university library is even better.  Make sure to think of these beings as more than spell components or correspondences.  These tables of correspondences has far too many people working with various Deities from all over the world, using a modern Western magick perspective and methods.  This is cheapening the Gods!  Not that the Gods necessarily care about one person and their approach, but as a practitioner trying to build a connection and get work done, we might ;).
