This is an initial thoughts video, testing to see how it feels to use the device.  I'll report back in a couple months with a part 2 for results. 

It actually does not hurt.  It also doesn't feel like "being snapped with a rubber band" as I've heard it described when done in office rather than at home.  To me, it just felt warm and then hot at the higher levels.   

I accidentally toggled up from 3 to 5 without noticing since I was looking at my camera viewfinder instead of what I was actually doing!  So I did reach the full setting during this test. 

I'm uploading this video a day after my mom and I completed our patch tests, and neither of us had any reaction.  The area felt slightly warm/funny for a while after, but nothing painful. 

The main cause of my flinch reaction to this is more the pop of light rather than how it actually feels (and also some anticipation of pain with using it for the first time). 

You can also get acne and skin rejuvenation heads for this, but I only got the one for hair removal.
