“ taemin-ah.” the intern’s voice was soft, as he glanced at the younger male. his eyes kind as he reached over to pat the idol. “ you don’t need to go now if you’re nervous.” inkwon adds, another sweet smile on his lips. “ we won’t stay for long, maybe like fifteen minutes, long enough so we can pray, but if you want to leave just tell me.”

Surely he wasn’t expecting the other to be the person speaking at the other side of his phone --groggy voice replying, cringing a little because of the snoring coming right next to him. « Taemin-ah? It’s four in the morning. . . Why are you even calling. . .? »

eva didn’t drink often. but when she did, she drank far too much. over emotional and far too clingy, with nobody to cling to, she decided she’d call one of her friends for comfort.

the search for her mobile phone took around 10 minutes, eva finally found her phone inside the refrigerator. she was still giggling to herself as she dialed the number and waited, but began pouting as the automated message announced that she would have to leave a message.

“oh… unnie. my phone is cold.” and with that, she bursts into laughter again, giggling for a few seconds before continuing. “i actually forgot why i was going to call but i have a question for you. do you think dogs know that they’re supposed to like bones? because none of my dogs like bones and i’m worried.”

the original motivation comes back to her and she audibly gasps into the phone. “oh right! unnie i just wanted to call you to say that i love you… like a whole lot. and you’re..” a small hiccup and she laughs again “you’re super good at dancing and next time i see you i’m gonna give you the biggest hug because you’re the best, okay?”

it had been a while since minjae had been here.

that wasn't to say that he hadn't stopped by the player dorm often, of course --- the trainee had visited so many times that he knew the area probably better than his own place. even the front door that he stood in front of seemed more familiar to him than the entrance to his own dorm ( granted, he hadn't lived in his new dorm with other galaxy trainees for very long ).

in hindsight, minjae thought that it might have been a better idea to ask that before he'd taken the trip out to taemin's residence, but he hadn't even considered that until now because he's missed him so much. this wasn't the first time he had showed up unannounced, though, and minjae had sent that very same text enough times that taemin could probably assume that he was already outside the door waiting for him.

pulling the hood off of his head, the dancer shook his head in a half-hearted attempt to dry his hair --- it was just his luck that it would start raining on his way there. he very much resembled a wet puppy in that moment, damp blond strands of hair now a bit messier than before despite his attempts to comb it down with his fingers.

There were no words to describe the multitude of things that Minjae had felt the morning after he'd collapsed. The mixture of disappointment and regret, the slight pang of loneliness upon waking up to an empty room... All of that was completely drowned out by the wave of emotions that welled up when he'd seen the letter left beside his bed. Taemin. If there was one thing that he regretted immensely, it was that he never had the chance to see Taemin after all of the performances ended. The fact that the idol had left a letter for him obviously meant that he had been there to see him.

Unfortunately, Minjae wasn't able to leave the hospital immediately, and even after he had been released... Their schedules just hadn't lined up. He had to talk with Taemin, but finding an opportunity to do so had seemed to be nearly impossible. Over a week had passed since the Galaxy trainee had seen the letter, and yet he still hadn't been able to speak with the other about its contents.

It was evening, and Minjae had been getting in some extra practice in an unoccupied dance studio when he saw Taemin from the corner of his eye. He immediately stopped, jogging over to the door to see if the male was with anyone else. Relieved to see that he was alone, he slipped out of the room and rushed over to take Taemin's hand, pulling him back into the practice room with him and closing the door behind them.
