I FINALLY got around to looking at the IKEA 2016 catalogue. I know, how dare I? So without further ado, here are some of my favourites:
I love the midcentury shape of this kitchen table and its pale tone gives it a Scandinavian twist. It’s also rare to find a table with this shape that doesn’t cost a fortune so the 259$ price tag is pretty refreshing!
The pastel colors of this table tray would be perfect to add a soft pop of color to a living room (as an end table) or even a nursery (as an accent table). The tray is of course detachable.
3) Sittning Chopping Board
IKEA has so many great accessories in store for 2016 that I found myself looking more at accessories than at the furniture. I’m really into the organic shape of the Sittning series! And you all know how much I love wood accents.
I believe this can double as an indoor/outdoor chair and was actually debating purchasing it for my own living room. I live in a condo in Toronto though, which means limited space so I decided to forego the armchair dream completely. I also picture this in a boy nursery with a white furry blanket or pillow thrown on top.
I love all things geometric so I love how you can play around with these cabinets by arranging them in different patterns and combining different sizes. These would look great above and around a TV as an alternative to a gallery wall.
I’m in love with the Tingsryd kitchen. The navy tone of the one in the photo is perfect and the grains on the cabinets are beautiful. I’m so happy that IKEA is continuing the trend of carrying midcentury-influenced furniture. They had started a little last year, but this year it’s completely full-fledged! I added the photo of the hunky meatball-maker for good measure haha. I think I’m the last person on the face of the earth who has yet to eat at IKEA. I must rectify this in 2016. Maybe it can be my new year’s resolution.
