She felt the cool air rush into the small hut she shared with Kaede as the door was opened and looked up from her sewing on instinct to see who it was. She had a feeling, since most people she knew would have announced their arrival before entering, and that feeling proved to be correct as her gaze met the steely, golden gaze of her guardian. It was unusual for her to actually come into the hut that she’d left Rin to live in, the whole being surrounded by humans thing was something Sesshomaru-sama tended to avoid when at all possible. But Rin didn’t let her surprise show on her face.
Rin didn’t let any emotion so on her face. She learned from the best after all. She met Sesshomaru-sama’s gaze and the only words that left her lips were “Oh, it’s you,” and then her gaze dropped once again to her sewing and she began again. The crackling of the fire from the pit in the center of the hut the only discernible noise except maybe Rin’s slightly elevated heart rate as she silently panicked.
