Perhaps it wasn’t the safest thing for him to do, especially not in a strange place where he hardly spoke the language, but he didn’t really care. He just wanted to think. His time was running out, at least for this side of him. He couldn’t play the cute act forever, but he wasn’t sure he wanted to change. 

Viktor liked being beautiful. He liked the sparkly, dressy costumes and the long flowing hair. So what if he was a bit effeminate? It wasn’t hurting anyone, so why did everyone expect Viktor to change?

Some days he thought about quitting, but he never entertained the thought for long; the ice was his home, he couldn’t live without it. He didn’t know any other way to live. That, and he didn’t even finish high school. This was all he had, his only way of making a life for himself. And he didn’t mind, he just wished he had a bit more say.
