hello! and to answer your question, i really only wanted to cross post stories that i think are of better quality over on ao3. i wrote ihyily during my first year of starting to write, so even though i still hold the story dear to me, the actual quality of the writing i don’t think is as good as it could be like if i wrote it now, so i just didn’t see the point in re-posting a story that i don’t love. but i also didn’t want to delete it bc i know a lot of people like that fic, so i just decided to leave it up on my tumblr

No, it’s okay! Of all my fics, IHYILY is the one that I’ve probably gotten the most messages about in relation to having mixed feelings towards what actually happens. I personally see the ending as Jungkook understanding that, yes, he loves Nari, but she did what she did and nothing can change that. Yes, the circumstances that caused Jungkook and the oc to end up together weren’t ideal, but life’s not ideal. Sometimes you fall for very inconvenient people at inconvenient times, and you have to figure out how to navigate that. With Jungkook he simply decided that ending things with Nari was the best choice for his own happiness, even if he was hurt by it, bc of course just bc someone you love hurts you doesn’t mean you instantly stop loving them, which was why the whole breakup sex thing happened, which a lot of people were unhappy with, but I saw it as necessary for his closure with her. So it’s okay to dislike the endings of fics bc they didn’t turn out how the most ideally. I find these types of conversations interesting anyways!

haha i’m glad you liked it! i miss writing angst, bc it comes the easiest to me honestly. i was actually already thinking of an angsty sequel to my baseball fic, but i’m getting ahead of myself lol

jxsjsbdla thank you!! whenever i think about ihyily i just remember how i went halfway crazy 12 hours into writing it lol. i wrote it all in one night, didn’t edit, queued and just crashed at like 8 in the morning. and when i woke up it was my first fic to ever break 1k notes. i was just like for real. this unedited mess was the one huh lol

he definitely would’ve realized or been told eventually. the oc wouldn’t have been able to hold in her feelings forever. as for if they would’ve ended up together still if not for the cheating of nari, idk if i can say. bc who knows how long it would’ve taken for the oc to actually admit her feelings, and by that time jungkook and nari would’ve been together for many years, causing their feelings to grow further. so maybe they would’ve ended up together, but maybe not
