          ❝ I have to tell you th’ truth here,  friend, ❞    Valentine’s tone is solemn,  his fingers laced loosely.  It isn’t the tone he would take if this were the time for planning a funeral,  though ;    there’s the air unmistakable that this is just a serious setback,  & not the end of the line for the synth he’s been asked to find.    

            ❝ Looks like th’ packet’s been intercepted.  Now,  I got good news an’ bad news for ya :   th’ good news is that the folks that’ve picked ’er up have no idea she’s a synth,  an’ they’re takin’ care of ’er.  From what I could tell,  she’s not hurt.  An’ th’ bad news...   well,  they’re what you might call an eccentric bunch.  I think they’ve got her thinkin’ she’s somethin’ she’s not.  I was able t’ get close enough t’ talk to ’er,  an’  she wouldn’t leave.  Told me she’d been promised she was gonna become some kinda queen.  She wasn’t clear what she was talkin’ about,  an’ I wasn’t able t’ stick around long enough to get much more.
