hang on a sec. i was going through your igbau tag and is future donnie getting rid of bosepher related to the post where future leo says he's had two brothers be forced to make an attempt on his life? because, if so, is that incident only 3 months into the future for current donnie and leo, and, poor kids! I wonder what future donnie is feeling or thinking if he can't warn them about it? or if there's timeline reasons they arent able to be warned? or them meeting their future selves is a silly thing that isnt actually in the story?

That ask was certainly a silly scenario, but you are right that the reason IGBAU!Donnie doesn't use the Tech Bo anymore is related to Leo's Extra Fratricide Attempt.
And as much as Donnie would like to warn his past self of what was to come--who is to say it would change anything? Would his younger self have had the tools to change anything, especially when so much of what happened was out of his control to begin with?
Additionally, had events not gone the way they did, who is to say he would have reached the point he is at in his life? He could be a different person entirely. And while that is not an indicator of this timeline being any better or worse than another, you have to consider one very important point: No-one he knows lives in those memories anymore. They live in the present.
