Submission by: Tram Burnworth As I wait to board my flight back to the states, I reflect at the last 9 days that I got to spend in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. To say that it was incredible, humbling, eye-opening, touching and powerful does not even began to describe my feelings for the experience. I remember anxiously waiting to find out if I was going to be selected to be a part of this trip. I remember the excitement when I found out I was to join an amazing group that included Intel, WWT and Camera Mundi. I also remember only having 10 days to get everything in order before this journey took off. Seeing firsthand the devastation that still remains is heartbreaking but the community, the people, and the culture of Puerto Rico was very inspiring. They are a strong, resilient community and they will get through this. They still need a lot of support though. The schools, the kids, the homes. Learning that some of these folks have gone more than 77 days without power yet they wake up and teach, run a school, continue to mentor kids is so inspiring! The last 9 days have brought me compassion, sadness, laughter, insight, and friendships that I will never forget. Thank you to all the folks that worked tirelessly to make this trip happen. I’m forever grateful for the experience ❤️ 🇵🇷
Monday, Dec 4 was another very busy day of visiting schools, assessing school technology, and delivering some donation items. Early estimation is we have visited approximately 65 schools in the time we have been here. Each evening is one of my favorite times, where the teams get together and share stories of the day. So many stories of strength, hope, and overcoming the enormous challenges the hurricane has created. A first for me today, was an hour long meeting with a school director, in the dark, discussing goals for a technology enabled school and what it could do for her kids. She has been without power for 75 days. Yet still positive and arriving everyday to encourage her kids, teachers, and enable learning to continue, however she can. “Amidst the darkness, there is light.”
Entry from Andy a Moser: Going into this, I really did not know what to expect as I had never done anything remotely like this before, my charitable experiences were mostly at arm’s length or donations. I can say it was a very humbling and moving experience to see first-hand the devastation that was caused by Hurricane Maria. What you’ve read or seen on TV does not accurately describe the damage that has been done to Puerto Rico and other locations in the Caribbean. Coming here and meeting the people of Puerto Rico, the Teachers, staff, students, and our hosts from Camera Mundi, was an amazing experience. Even more amazing is the positive attitudes in the face of adversity that everyone I saw had. Most of our team and many school children, teachers and staff still did not have reliable power or some basic necessities more than 2 months after the storm, yet day after day, they were always excited and positive to work with us. It has been a great pleasure working with Intel, Camera Mundi, and the people of Puerto Rico to help in whatever way we could, it’s an experience I will not forget.

3 Meeting Online in a Day
Mumpung masih anget banget nih hehehe
So, today was really fun and (also exhausted).
Hari ini dari pagi, ada 3 jadwal meeting online. Pertama, acara dari jurusan yang ngundang narasumber yakni Alumni dari Toyota sama Petrokimia Gresik. Dapet banyak banget gilaa! Udah kaya mini class gitu tp sama expert di lapangan. Dikasih tips and trick juga to survive on career.
Kedua, meeting sama RASO. Lanjuuuuttt
Ketiga, ini yang paling bikin deg-deg an. First meeting bareng member IESC. Sampe ngechat fara dulu, bilang “faar aku takuutt” hahaha. Dasar. Emang penakut anaknya, maklumin yak. Acaranya cuma sejam tapi sangat menyenangkaaannnn!
Trus, perkenalan dari panitia IESCnya (beberapa orang udah aing kenal, all of you are super talented! parah, ga ada obat! wuuff youu<3) Then, kita dipecah ke beberapa kelompok buat mainan. Udah lah ini aing cuma senyum2, ketawa ga jelas. Permainannya asik bgt si meskipun online yaa, soalnya yg join juga mostly kayanya asik2. Awalnya malu2 wkwkwk tapi seiring berjalannya waktu udah cair cair aja tu. Heheheh:)) Last but not least, semoga yang dijalani sekarang bisa membawa manfaat buat ke depannya dan orang lain. Seneng banget bisa ketemu orang-orang baru! See u on the next meeting guys!
yg ada fotonya cuma IESC, soon kalo ada foto2 lagi aku share!
