Idle Playthings Graphic Design Work

From June 2015 to May 2016 I was Head of Web & Marking for the Idle Playthings, Bath Spa Univeristy’s Comedy Society. During that role I created a number of different graphics to promote society events.

The first things I created were a poster and banner for the society’s event for Freshers’ Week, which I called the ‘Comedy Concoction’. I created the test tube and incorporated bubbles with text inside into the design. Some of the bubbles used contain the Idle Playthings ‘iP’ logo, which was created by Conor O’Driscoll.

I also designed the new Facebook banner for Proving Grounds, the society’s monthly night at Bath’s biggest comedy venue, Komedia. I used the photos provided to me and manipulated them in such a way that paid homage to previous designs whilst updated them.

This is Ben. A student of Bath Spa University. And bloody hilarious.
