The world is a better place for women and girls in 2016 than even a decade ago, but not for everyone, and not everywhere. This is especially true in the world’s poorest countries. #Gender gaps in employment, business and access to finance still hold women back – they are half as likely as men to hold full-time wage jobs. Martha, a policewoman patrolling Area 18 in Lilongwe, #Malawi, is a role model for women who face barriers to starting a career.
