jake is ?? so not cis. i honestly think part of the reason i have trouble pinning down a gender for him is that i think he is really confused by his gender for a really long time. and i dont think he talks much about his gender unless he’s prompted. he did some thinking (especially after some of his friends started coming out as not cis) but he didnt really bring up his own gender. someone (roxy maybe) probably straight up asked him if he had ever considered his gender and he probably gave a really non-committal shrug and said something about how he tries to think about it but it doesnt make sense. (roxy nods sagely) generally uses he/his pronouns but likes it when people switch it up or ask if he wants them to try out some new ones.

jade is dmab agender or nonbinary. some sort of femme associations but not very strongly. fights people if they even suggest that she’s binary. uses she/her or they/them pronouns. 

jane is dfab and aggressively nonbinary. likes the word genderqueer but only uses that in certain circles. likes any pronouns but he or she and generally goes with they/them. considers themself to be very strongly gendered but very very outside the binary. likes incorporating various parts of traditionally masculine and feminine traits in their appearance. (ex: binding and wearing a skirt; fake mustache and really fancy make-up; basically anything that makes people second-guess their gender)
