To say I was nervous would be an understatement. The last time I saw any of the boyz was 4 years ago, so when I heard that I would have to spend a whole Summer vacation with half of them scared the hell out of me. The boyz were still somewhat a crew so they were all still friends, but I had no clue where I stood.
I pulled into the drive way of the house. It was beautiful, and there were only two cars in the driveway, so I was early. I hopped out of my car, grabbing my luggage. Slowly, after taking 5 deep breaths, I opened the door. The inside of the house was prettier than the outside. The kitchen was very open, with two wall sized windows that looked out towards the beach. The house was quiet, so I knew the other two residents were still sleeping.
I walked into the living room. I was about to turn on the tv when I saw two figures lying next to each other on the couch. One was a familiar faux-hawked boy I knew as Nick Mara. Another was a petite red headed figure I had never seen before.
“I guess some people got acquainted very easily,” I muttered just loud enough to wake them up, the red head quickly separating herself from Nick.
“G-good morning. Hi Vinny, I'm Carlie.” She beamed, still a little startled from me waking her up.
“Hey,” I said politely, smiling back at her. “Hi, uh, Nick.” I shuffled awkwardly at the tension between us.
“Hey man, long time no see.” Nick smiled, obviously not wanting to talk about our unsolved problems in front of Carlie.
“So, um, I'm gonna take a shower, then I guess we can wait for another arrival and go to the beach.” Carlie giggled, walking away.
We waited until we heard the water start to begin our conversation.
“So,uh-” I started before being cut of by Nick
“Listen man I still think what you did 4 years ago was fucked up but I'm willing to ignore it this Summer and act like we're still buddies.” His voice hushed so that the mics wouldn't pick up on what he was saying.
“Ok, and Nick?” I said lightly
“yeah?” His voice harsh, telling me he never forgot about 4 years ago.
“I'm sorry.”
“Whatever.” he spat, walking away.
Nick was still hurt by my biggest mistake. The reason I really left the crew.
Mikayla's POV:
I looked anxiously at the cars parked in the driveway, praying for a familiar one. I smiled at the sight of Carlie's Black BMW.
“Here goes nothing,” I whispered, walking up each wooden step.
“Hey,guys.” I said calmly as I opened the door into the kitchen.
“MIKAYLA!” Carlie yelled, pulling me into an embrace.
“Hey Car,” I smiled, “How are ya?” I tried to remain calm, keep my cool.
“What the fuck are you ok?” Carlie laughed, “You aren't getting excited.” She shook me as she jumped up and down.
“S-sorry, it's a lot to take in.” I replied, bringing my attention to the boys that stood next to me.
“Hi, I'm Mikayla.” I smiled, putting my hand out to shake their hands.
They were about to reply when we were interrupted by two people walking into the house.
I looked over at the two extremely familiar faces, my stomach instantly fluttering with butterflies.
