Ichi had to move every few decades, even with being able to adjust their age should they wish it was just simpler to start over now and then. So they'd bought a house, it had a charm. They enjoyed it.
There was a... they didn't know if 'downside' was the right word but it was an oddity. They felt watched. Constantly. They had learned to trust their gut and it didn't feel... malicious. They had yet to really identify what it was if anything, even looking to the future and past had yet to reveal anything. It was a mystery. They loved mysteries.
They were sitting, taking their time to be in the timelines when they heard a noise. They looked up "Is someone there?" It was the first time they'd truly acknowledged the odd feeling. They weren't truly expecting any sort of answer but hoped for one.
