Bleach has some fair criticisms, but I swear 90% of them are like "why is the main character doing main character things!?!??"
Like, omg, I'm SO SORRY Ichigo won a few battles (but then they complain about him losing too) and I'm also sorry that the plot revoles around him (not all of it does though, but also yeah he's the main character so it's supposed to be his story??)
And don't even get me started about the ones complaining that he's "all the races in Bleach". Like, my guy, tell me you've missed the main point of Bleach without telling me you've missed the main point. Bleach is about the balance between the worlds, and the main character accurately represents a perfect balance between all the worlds. Like, hello??? There's more to it than that but that tends to dive more into theory territory and I don't wanna do that with this post
But anyway. Yes. There are genuine criticisms about Bleach. But it feels like the loudest criticisms are just people being upset that it isn't their favourite anime getting attention for once.
We need to chill with the fandom wars. Let people enjoy things. I'm tired of Bleach getting shit on for things that other anime does (and everyone praises those anime when they do it, but when Bleach does it, it's like the biggest sin lmao wtf)
