So studying Japanese, i’m learning my radicals and all, and i get to 口. Which. Fine. Is the most used radical so gotta remember it. It stands for “mouth” or “opening”, or “hole”, anything and all. 

And then i read the Kun Yomi for it. くち. Kuchi. 

This is how i’ve been prononcing in my head that goddamn “coochie” y’all keep on using lately. 

Which was the worst think to realize while reading those hiragana outloud.

i’m starting to put Japanese lessons in the background when i’m not doing anything and i’m crying over one of the thing, so apparently some words get borrowed right, and when they get very popular they can even become verbs

so it brings to something like サボる (saboru) that means “slack off”. And the host mentions “it comes from an abreviation of “sabotage” 

English is a stressed timed rhytmic language. French has a syllable timed rythm.

i mean it is obvious when you learn english bur you just accept it but that's why prononciating things when you're not native sucks so bad

on the other hand that also explains why Japanese is easier to pronounce for me. i was reading while doing studies that french has 95% sounds in common with Japanese so on a pure prononciation level french is a good starting point for Japanese, more than English

but adding that that explains it even more to me. Japanese is more syllabic than stressed. so it comes far more easily for me.
