Hi fellow GF fan! :) I don't ship Micro-Ice and Tia (yet), but I'm willing to be convinced. So, why do you ship them?
A fellow GF fan? I thought we went extinct, you have no idea how happy I am to hear from one (and I am pretty sure this anon is not me).
First of all, I’m sorry about replying with such a delay. Second of all, your willingness to come on board of the Icetia Ship is giving me life, but please do not feel pressured in any way because of my enthusiasm (my solitude in shipping them is most likely a sign of an uncommon view of the characters).
Okay, so I would be there for the fluff. As much conflict as there was in the Snow Kids’ ranks, I just could not imagine a natural looking one between Micro-Ice and Tia. With my perception of their personalities, if their friendship was allowed to evolve even further, the only direction I can see it going is one full of deep mutual adoration, laughter, and how else to say it, fluff.
Another notable observation is how adventurous both Micro-Ice and Tia are. Micro-ice and his ties with the Pirates, Tia and her frequent trespassing in search of Rocket’s mother, and both having a Pirate adventure while missing an important match. I even vaguely remember the two investigating something in season 3. All in all, I can’t help but think about a future Pirate mission they would go on together, maybe even play for the Pirates team incognito. Their interests outside of football is just something I thoroughly enjoy and would love for Tia’s camera hobby to be more explored (the scene where she is filming Micro-Ice introducing their team is one of my 2D favourites).
A side note on Rocket + Tia, with an acknowledgement to all their shippers having and absolute high ground with them being canon (they even have their official soundtrack piece). For me, it always looked more one sided from Tia’s part, with her making most of the moves and Rocket just eventually going with it after a pep-talk from Aarch. The disappointing thing though was that Rocket still caring more about football seemed to be also the case in season 2. Maybe I am too preoccupied with Tia’s character, but I could hardly look at how often she was seen crying or generally in a miserable mood. I do think that them seemingly meeting after 15 years of not having any close friends in their age category totally explains their instant bond, I was just not convinced of them being the right match.
This messy rant of my thoughts is getting a bit too long, so I’ll stop there. Convinced or not, thank you anon for your question and thanks to any kind reader reading this far.
