âI carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart)I am never without it (anywhere I go you go,my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing,my darling)â -E.E. Cummings Ten years ago, the world lost a very special person--someone who meant a lot to me, actually. But I know I'm not alone in this sentiment about Jay because there are so many other people who also appreciated his kindness, treasured his company, and were inspired by his enthusiasm and authenticity. We all miss him, even after all this time. The way he made us feel makes him live on through us. Jay's commit to serving others was a testament to how genuinely thoughtful he was. His empathy, determination, insight, optimism, and humor made him a true joy to know and a real gift to have by your side. I consider myself very fortunate to have had him in my life. His was a calming and encouraging presence to me. How lucky was I to have someone who helped me to always strive to be my best self (both personally and creatively)? That kind of support and acceptance is so rare. In the time since he's passed away, I have continued to aspire to make him proud. It's hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that I've lived an entire decade--in all it's triumphs and challenges- without him. There are so many things I wish I could have shared with him. But in many ways, I know he has been with me the entire time. I'm sure those of you who have also had a loved one die can understand what I mean. It's a bittersweet blessing. ⤠Rest in peace, Jay. I promise to always keep swimming. #personal #iloveyou #justkeepswimming #icarryyourheart https://www.instagram.com/p/CI2S1AOD4IV/?igshid=omhf6xbi8yzh
