if you could have saved one TV show from cancellation, which one would it be?

umm once upon a time i enjoyed emily owens, m.d. but right now i literally cannot recall a single thing about that show except that it got cancelled so idek if it’s worth saving

omg so many. but definitely teen wolf, bc derek left, and i was very much thirst watching for tyler hoechlin, and bc i shipped sterek and that's kinda hard to do when half of the ship leaves the show. also riverdale, pretty little liars, grey's anatomy bc that shit is too long.

and then there’s ones that i enjoyed but just. somehow ended up not finishing and i miiiight resume but literally who knows. including but not limited to:

orphan black, how to get away with murder, workin’ moms, unbreakable kimmy schmidt, 2 broke girls, dear white people, dead to me, please like me, brooklyn 99, new girl, modern family, the middle, derry girls, sex education, the good place

Is there a trope you cannot understand why anyone would like?

im not big on high school tropes. i mean i dont go out of my way to avoid high school fics but i usually dont relate to the way people write about high school in fic and i personally dont see the appeal of the setting. but that’s me. again, to each their own

Do you assume you can tell the age of the author (and/or other biographical details) when you're reading a fic?

yeah sometimes. not like constantly or anything, and i can be wrong ofc. and i dont spend my time thinking too much about the author when im reading a fic. but i can (at times) tell when someone isn’t used to writing in english, especially if their first language is dutch bc i recognize the way they structure sentences. i find age harder to tell but that’s also bc im a dumbass. what i can tell sometimes is when someone hasnt worked on their (internalized) fatphobia for example. those biases shine through and that leads me to assume theyre either speaking from a point of privilege OR not but theyve internalized a lot of bullshit idk. but like i said, i dont think a lot about the author honestly and i usually dont feel confident enough to make assumptions
