I think Damian was always a special boy. When I first met him, he was shy and reserved beneath the bravado. He wore the sarcasm and bluster like a sword and shield. Always keeping others at bay. But inside, he wanted people to like him. To know him. To love him.

Now he's older and has been through...I don't even know all of the trials he's faced. In the blink of an eye he went from eleven to fifteen and so much happened to him in that time frame. He is still snarky and quick with his wit, but he's learned a measure of restraint. He's matured some. He's always carried himself as one who is older than his years, but he has more true maturity now. I think this is due in part to what he and Colin experienced in their time slip and also to the effect that Saph — I mean, Stephanie, Tony, and Pepper have had on him.
