Proud moment today
I started riding a horse who is just starting back into work after being unsound and out of work for 2 months at the beginning of the week. We mostly walking and a bit of trotting. Her owner has been riding another horse there so he rode her Friday. She was incredibly strong and he couldn't get her to stop running and leaning on the bit. And he is a competent rider. Because things were so bad and he had I heard I had been riding her no problem he wanted to watch me ride her today. She was perfect. We did a nice slow trot in which she wasn't leaning on my hands or being super strong. She walked around calmly on a loose rein. He was so impressed at how good she was with me and informed me it was perfect. My trainer also told me that it was super good and I did a super good job with her.
