Awe. Jodie looked so sweet while she was sleeping. Dylan smiled at the sight with his arms crossed under his chest. Yeah. It was such a sweet sight, her hair falling into her face while she let out soft breaths. Too bad that he was bored and wanted to hang out with his buddy. Jodie could sleep later. Kneeling beside her sleeping figure, Dylan took a deep breath in and decided to wake her up his own special way. 

“Wake the fuck up bitch!” Dylan yelled into her ear watching her clamber awake, rubbing at her sleeping eyes. 

“What the fuck is wrong with you?” She hissed, glaring at him. 

“I was bored and wanted someone to go to the arcade with me.” Dylan snickered, laying his head on her stomach, looking up at her. 

“Why can’t you ask your girlfriend?” Jodie snapped, still tired.

Honestly, seeing Jodie try to pin Dylan to the wall with one hand was quite hilarious. She was a good deal shorter than he was so he found this quite enjoyable. Jodie was trying, and she had a lot of strength but you know, part of Dylan’s power was super strength so he could just kinda, gently brush her off and she would get off him.

But what’s the fun in that?

Honestly, Allie was about to regret this decision of challenging her boyfriend and her best friend to a softball game. The fact that Bryce and Dylan had been playing baseball for years, as a team, was lost on her for a while. Until she was up to bat, Jake as the catcher and Bryce as the pitcher. He tossed the ball up and down, using his gum to blow a bubble (which, Allie thought was just a trope used in movies until Bryce told her that baseball players chew either sunflower seeds or gum when they play a game).

“I love you, Darling, but I’m not gonna hold back,” Bryce winked at his girlfriend as she put the bat in position. Allie rolled her eyes.

“I know what I’m doing, and remember to throw underhand,” Allie quipped, and Bryce could only smirk at her. Okay, she really wanted to play this game? Fine. Looking over at Jodie, who was the ump, for a cue Bryce threw the ball Allie’s way but it was thrown too fast for her to actually hit it. With wide eyes, Allie’s mouth fell agape staring at her boyfriend incredulously. “Are you serious?”

“Are you two making out?” Alex chuckled, leaning against the kitchen counter, crossing his arms over his chest. He could feel Lailani’s eye roll even  if he couldn’t see it.

“No, he’s just intently measuring out the flour,” Lailani groaned, turning to face her fiancee, who was leaning over the counter and pouring the flour into the measuring cup as gingerly as he possibly could.

“This is for my birthday, so you better make it good,” Alex teased, sticking out his tongue at Lailani, who childishly stuck her tongue out at him too.

“You can’t even see it, asshole don’t-” Lailani was cut off by Dylan waving his hand.

“It’ll be perfectly fine, Alex, because I’m making it and not miss Pyrokinetics over there,” Dylan teased, grabbing a teaspoon to start measuring out the baking powder. 

“Excuse you? I can take back this engagement right now.” Lailani snarled, crossing her arms.

“But you aren’t going to,” Alex responded with a snicker.

“Excuse me?”

“Well, if Dylan looks half as hot as I remember him looking, you’re down for the count. Besides, he’s hella charming, he has pretty eyes, that I can’t see, he’s a kind man, God have you seen his arms-”

“I think maybe I should have proposed to you,” Dylan laughed, trying to ignore the blush on his cheeks.

“You know I can’t paint, right?” Dylan asked with the tilt of his head. Jodie nodded, leaning back in the chair and turning her head so Dylan had access to her cheek.

“Yeah, you’ve got baseball player hands, those aren’t fucking good for art,” Jodie snorted which caused Dylan to gasp in an offended manner. “But I still want a Bulbasaur on my cheek so do it.” 

“So forceful,” Dylan chuckled charmingly, grabbing a brush and the water activated green face paint. “All right, but if it looks deformed and shitty just be aware I gave you a warning.”

“I’m gonna pretend you didn’t and still be mad about it, fair?”
