Essek had already talked to Caleb about his growing feelings for the tiefling and had found out the pair had been close in the past. It wasn't unheard of in the Dynasty for relationships to include more than one person, but that was typically for people who already had lived once before and had ties... Essek supposed Molly fit that description and Caleb wasn't a stranger to this sort of relationship. He had told the human he wanted to see how things with Mollymauk would develop before asking directly.

Which had lead the drow to the current situation where he had been sharing space with the tiefling, working on a current knitting project and using Molly as a way to test the length properly, fingers brushing across the tiefling's neck as he placed the nearly completed scarf.

He thought he would be bold andjust kiss Molly and had leaned in just about to do so before the door opened up and Caleb walked in. Essek pulled away and quickly pulled the scarf to hide behind his back. Not only did he want that to be a surprise he wanted Molly's first kiss with him to just be the two of them even if Caleb would be involved at some point.

Essek was glad that Molly immediately pulls him close. He leaned into the touch, a soft sigh leaving their lips as he started to slowly relax against the tiefling. "I'm... I'll be alright, it was just a long night." He just wanted to relax for a little while and curled up with Molly seemed like a good way to do that.

Essek didn't let his instinct to step back control him, instead violet eyes stared down the pale elf as he spoke. He knew the look well, he was being sized up and the drow didn't hide his skill in magic. His other talents though were always kept to himself until needed

At the question of his magic specialization he paused a little, unsure of just how much to give. A brow rose on his face, eyes glancing down at his feet, which were floating several inches off the ground before coming back up to lock with red colored gaze if Astarion.

"Molly, no. We do this together." Caleb wouldn't have argued before, would have run if it mean surviving, but now the tiefling meant far too much for him to risk loosing him too.
