the thing with my OCs (in general, not just the Jekyll siblings) is that they don't live on Earth even tho it looks like it at first.
and i have 2 sets of OCs, each in their own dimension. and one of those dimensions is inside a storybook within the first dimension.
and i don't know where the Jekyll siblings would fit into...
not the book dimension since that one is exclusively for fairy OCs + OCs who are capable of travelling through books.
but the regular dimension doesn't feel "dark" enough?? and i say that as someone who put a character, that commited treason, tried to kill an infant as sacrifice for a ritual she had no idea would work, and blinded her own sister, into that world. lol
there's also the whole thing about still wanting to have the Jekyll siblings be able to interact with other people's characters so yeah...
so rn, the three of them are in some sort of limbo (idk what else to call it, sorry ><") and just sort of don't fit anywhere but that also makes them fit everywhere (or at least into the places where their lore wouldn't feel out of place) ><
au idea:
witch!Ariel kills Ibis (not sure if purposefully or not yet)
w!Ariel uses necromancy and resurrects Ibis, making her into a zombie
w!Ariel and z!Ibis live a fairly calm and happy life but-
- witch hunter!Hyacinth is trying to capture (and maybe kill? not sure on that one yet) w!Ariel as revenge for them killing Ibis (he doesn't know about the resurrection)
i don't really have any further ideas for this au (yet) but um... yeaaa... >β<
(also i feel like the base dynamic of these three [Ariel keeping Ibis around for selfish reasons such as pleasure and amusement + Ibis being emotionally dependent on Ariel + Hyacinth resenting Ariel] is very easy to make into aus ><)

tho tbh i also like letting ibis stay alive and making her live away from ariel and exploring just how desperate she is to be near them, all while ariel doesn't seem to care for her in the same way...

i think i'm gonna insert the jekyll siblings into my main world. i'd likely make them somehow related to at least one of my other OCs.
also if i'm putting them there, ibis and hyacinth would likely get some interesting backstories considering they both have yellow eyes. and in that world yellow eyes = lack of soul.
i think it would be interesting if ariel took their siblings' souls. i'd have to think of a reason but knowing ariel it could also just be "because they wanted to see what would happen" (congrats, ariel, you've doomed your siblings and stole their abilities to be emotionally normal [or ig less weird than they are now lol])
(also i'm most likely gonna get rid of ariel and hyacinth's tfs, but i might make references to them in the redesigns once i draw those ><)
this blog is now gonna be a non-dol thing where i explore dead dove topics with some of my OCs (mostly the jekyll siblings for now but maybe some other characters might appear one day)
i won't be deleting any old posts but i also won't be using any dol tags anymore
