So I'm still having little issues with acid reflux and indigestion. My dr prescribed Somac to take for 6 months but I'm very wary of any PPI... My naturopath gave me Iberogast yesterday and I started that straight away and feel pretty good on it already - so I'm going to stick with the Iberogast and just keep the Somac in the cupboard just in case..... My reflux isn't too bad - I'm sticking to smaller meals with snacks if I'm hungry and lots of water. I'm continuing with my magnesium supplement, vitamin d3 supplementation and fish oil. I want to change my iron supplement just in case it's what's causing my reflux (it's a different one than I've had before). I'm still gluten free, yeast free, fructose free - which is fine, I'm eating really healthy. I just hate feeling that fullness after hardly any food and feeling things stuck in my throat. I rarely have a slight acidic taste in my mouth, no chest pains or poop issues. If I overeat, I'll feel nauseous. If I don't eat dinner early (5pm because I take my babies up to bed by 7pm), then I know I'll be uncomfortable lying down in bed. Then I can be back up until midnight trying not to gag. I hate that it's come out of nowhere! I've lost more weight and my GP wants to see me in a month. If I keep losing weight, he'll refer me to the gastroenterologist.... Yuck. So I'm spending the next month on maintaining my weight (I'm 56kg now - 7kg lost in 8 weeks. I don't need to be any lighter!), working on my iron levels (they're very very low) and keeping positive. Anyone else in the same boat?
