Ashlee needed a friend, a friend who had other friends was still enough at this point. She knew in her mind that was rude to even think. Friends were friends. But Ashlee wanted to be selfish. Ashlee wanted someone, anyone to choose her first.

That was never going to happen.

Still Ashlee needed someone, someone that was removed from the whole thing.

The thing was she was already crying when she had knocked at his door and could barely hide it.

How stupid was this. Some kid had died just a couple weeks ago and she was crying because she sabotaged her friendship.

This was stupid and a bad idea- and Ashlee turned around to leave just as the door opened.

“Hi.”

Ruff2Fluff had been closed since the Blackwell Gala, and fair, Ashlee could only imagine what Greg had to go through while she was with the Bonfamille’s. Juni though had fit in over the last month and considering the the foster period was up there was part of her that was scared someone at Ruff2Fluff would show up and demand her back.

So Ashlee wasn’t going to let that. She was going to go to Ruff2Fluff herself and sign whatever she needed to sign to make it official. So at the first notice of it reopening Ashlee made her way down, expecting to deal with Greg again.

Though she should be too surprised that Ian was there instead. She tended to keep running into her friends here anyway.

“Hey Ian. Is Greg in? I wanted to officially adopt Juniper?”

One of the main stops on Ashlee’s make sure her friends were okay tour was Ian. Which was basically the only stop she needed to make besides reaching out to Nemo. The girls were fine, unphased and it wasn’t like Ashlee had anyone else to worry about.

But she had provided Ice Cream and a selection of activities to go out and do. In true Ian fashion, it was up to Ashlee to pick so getting out of Swynlake and heading into NTO was the correct course of action.

“See now you’ll be forced to pick what you want to do, or I’m just going to drag you along to shop and compliment me.” Ashlee stated simply glancing at him constantly both due to the magic flannel he was wearing and to make sure her jokes weren’t making everything worse.

So this town had crazy dreams apparently. Roxas had missed out on it, due to the fact that these dreams tended to happen when he was actually able to be awake. So while everyone else had some Hunger Games fueled nightmare, Roxas had been practicing with his wand. It was...well it worked for him anyway.

Roxas wasn’t sure if Sora had experienced what others had, but he couldn’t know how to find out. He had thought to leave a note for Sora, but now it was a question of waiting until Sora actually found it and decided to respond. If he decided to respond. 

Ashlee was surprised to hear that one, Ian and Riku broke up and two that he was moping around about it. Part of it was understandable but at the same time she was confused.

That didn’t mean she wasn’t planning on being a good friend. Box in hand from Blue Oven, and her own silly troubles tucked behind her because it was an uncomfortable tug of her heart. She knocked on the door and strolled in even without an invitation when Ian opened the door.

“Okay I’ve got baked goods and we can do the normal mop in your room because of what shall not be named or I can drag you outside to get some sunlight.”

"Some people look like they do," Ian admitted, which was more of a frustration than he cared to voice because he was trying to do things right and tripping himself up overthinking. "Yeah, that's the plan; and I like plans, this one is just more confusing I guess."

Maybe that was just part of the woeful complications that went with compounded inexperience and anxiety; it certainly didn't offer much of an easy path.

"I'm overthinking, again." He sighed, but he didn't feel awkward saying so around her; Ashlee was one of the few people Ian felt comfortable admitting that weary habit to. She'd never judged him for it, not since they'd been friends at least; after a few stressful situations behind them he felt like he could depend on her to understand.

Sitting down Ashlee moved to stretch, she didn’t mind ending her practice here. To be honest she had probably practiced more than enough, especially if she could do the routine while talking to someone.

“That you probably are. I mean I’m the last one to give relationship advice. Most I can offer is that fact my first kiss was with some guy at a house party.” Ashlee shrugged. Weird to also think that guy was now dead. But.. that was Swynlake.

“No one knows anything at any point. Fake it till you make it and then keep going anyway.”
