@iamstarstruck asked for a starter with Jasper!
Maybe it was a tad foolish to wander the streets of a foreign city alone, but Jasper couldn’t say they were that unfamiliar either. On the rare occasion her parents came here for work, she and her brother had always tagged along to Japan, and the older Jasper had gotten... The more the store-lined streets of Tokyo called to her. Seeing as nobody had any intentions of babysitting her anyway, it was the perfect time to sneak away and shop to her little heart’s content.
Weaving in and out of stores, Jasper bought very little - only because she knew she’d have to carry anything she did by - but found herself paying little attention for a majority of it. In fact, it might have just been her anxiety... But she could’ve sworn now she was being followed. In one store, out the next, maybe it was just such a generic face she was seeing things but...
No, she was sure by the fourth time she’d spotted this girl. Was she a fan of her parent’s? In Japan? That felt a little strange, but perhaps not unheard of. Did she point it out? Would that make a scene? Her eyes darted momentarily, looking for perhaps a quieter place to bring this adventure to an end. Slowly now she moved, straining not to glance over her shoulder, until she had finally hit a little quieter part of Tokyo. A bag being held with both hands at her front, she finally turned, scanning for that messy haired girl once more.
Gotcha.
“If you wanted to say hello,” she called gently, “I’d rather we talk and shop together. You’re making me worried there’s something on my back.” Despite the anxiety slowly building in her chest, she took a deep breath and waited. Either her follower would pretend this was an accident and not respond, running away, or... Well, maybe some conversation would be fun...!
