This especially goes out to my Mother (Sherry Laserna), and my Father (Bong Laserna), two extraordinary individuals. They fight for their love, not on their own terms, but by keeping Christ as the center of their marriage. It's that kind of love that has inspired me to marry someone with that same goal. Maybe someday... I'll be able to fight for that same love.
Valentine's day is a great reminder that we are, in fact, loved. Despite the commercialized day of love, people remember how much they care or have cared about somebody. It doesn't even need to be a romantic relationship. Friends, family, maybe even strangers have a tendency to feel love on this day. No matter how many cynics, pessimists and hipsters brush off the idea of love or being loved, we as humans, are made to love.
