Well today seems to have put me in a bit of a bad mood. Not because I haven’t had a good day or anything of that sort just that there are certain things that are getting on my nerves today. One has to do with something I’ve seen on social media and the other is because my computer is super old.

So I’ll start first with what’s bothering me about my desktop computer. It’s seriously old (I think it’s like 7 or 8 years old or something) and because of this it takes forever to download anything or loud things sometimes. Currently I’m getting frustrated with the fact that I’m unable to play my Sims 4 game because it won’t update fast enough. It keeps getting to %100 updated then freezes or reverts to a lower percentage. This makes me get frustrated since it took hours before getting to that point so I cancel the update but it still won’t allow me to play the game until I finish the update so I have to start the update all over again. 😑 Just so annoying.

Now for the other thing that has gotten on my nerves today which has to do with something I’ve seen on social media. I’ve seen many things on the internet about transgender rights, the rights of women, the rights of the lgbtq 🏳️‍🌈 community and the like. This never really bothered me. I believe everyone deserves equal rights but it saddens me to see how some people can be so ignorant. The post that angered me had to do with how this girl felt shocked when she found out that someone she had a crush on was born a girl. She’s basically saying that she had a crush on a girl when she was younger when in my opinion she didn’t because that person never saw themselves as a girl. I feel that it’s regrettable for people to just dismiss this person’s true identity just because of what some documents say or what society deems is a person’s gender. I feel that it’s ridiculous. If you’ve felt that you’re a girl from the moment you were born (regardless of what the document says or what genitalia you are born with) than you are a girl and if you feel that you are a boy than that is what you are. I think that allowing society or a piece of paper define who you are as a person is just plain stupid. You have the right to be whoever you feel you are not what some paper or society deems as appropriate. It’s sad that in 2017 we’re still fighting over this when instead it should already be accepted to be whomever ever you choose to be. It’s just unfortunate that people choose to be bigots.
