It had been a long day already. To put it lightly. Elena was just about finished with her long shift at Rousseau’s and to say that she was glad would also be putting it lightly. Elena was dead tired. She was doing everything in her power to get her messy thoughts to stop spinning. She wanted a day off from thinking about witches and vampires and problems. Was coming here a mistake? Elena was starting to really, really wonder about her decision, maybe even regret it but... she couldn’t go back to Mystic Falls. She just couldn’t be there, not after...
Anyway. There was no use thinking about any of that right now, was there? It would only make her sad and Elena wasn’t sad. She wasn’t, she was fine. That gloomy girl was gone and she could still make this new start work. She had her friends, her brother, her studies, her job... everything would be fine. She clocked off and slung her bag over her shoulder, grabbing a quick drink and heading over to a table in the corner where she pulled out her journal. When she felt someone hovering nearby, or maybe eyes on her, Elena sighed and didn’t look up to avoid making eye contact. “I’m sorry, I’ve actually just finished my shift...” She said, hoping it was just someone who had seen her apron and was trying to get her to get them something.
