correct me if i'm wrong here, please, but:
i'm pretty sure at least 75% of viewers are not watching 911 for the action packed, big emergencies. most viewers are not watching for realism. the core audience for 911 was formed out the casual drama, found family, silly antics of the show. if i wanted to watch something for the 'action' and character development as a side plot, i would watch something else. we have gotten almost no character development this season (aside from eddies half-assed texas subplot). we've had major emergency after major emergency.

eddies texas plot was a poor excuse. he's been ignored for most of the back half of this season.
everyone forgetting hen's birthday? really? have we been watching the same show? that plot line could have made sense for Ravi, and allowed for us to see into his character more. But hen? what!
don't even get me started on Bobby.
Hindsight is 20/20. 8b has been a nothing sandwich of "Wow! Flashing lights! Can you believe we did *insert random thing*!" I'm mourning not just Bobby, but the show.

His excitement for movies and ranting getting pushed aside with dismissal making him realize that no one really cares for what he has to say but he continues to talk anyway because that's supposed to be his "role" in the group
