Will we see more of Axe and Sweet more? I adore those two. Also ive been rereading the dinner chapters abd realized Gaster was hidden within some panels. Where Mal would resemble Gaster.
Is small a variation of Gaster? Or is this more-so foreshadowing the bond they have with him? (Loyalty or something.) Or something else entirely?
Rest assured, dear anon, I'm not done with those two yet! Like all the characters in TMS, Axe and Sweet also have an important role to play, and they'll have their moments in future chapters. I can even tell you that they have a lot of off-screen stories to share already.
As for Chapter 9, that’s a fair observation. Usually, Gaster only appears in TMS when he is mentionned and shown bc characters are remembering him/being reminded of him. They are meant for the Reader's eyes. But in some very specific instances, under very specific conditions, it has another purpose.
I'll let you ponder which one this is about.
Extra: Mel (I’m assuming you were referring to her when you said “small”?) knew a version of Gaster—this was hinted at in Act 1 and confirmed during the interlude and Act 2. The details of this relationship are… unclear. Though that won’t be the case forever. But for now, it does rule out the idea that she’s a copy version of him.
Edge pointed out that Mel ressembles him (scars) and seems excessively loyal to the doctor but she brushes off the first claim too.
