orcas at sunset.
I just wanna say: the way that Shannon Tindle posts and reposts posts about Ken, you can't tell me the designers and animators didn't know what they were doing when they made him
I’ve got some new pens ✨
And some Dipplinshipping is always lovely to doodle 🍎🍏
Steve says Jonathan would finally be able to find happiness with Nancy if he stops focusing on him.
This seems to be easier said than done though.
Jonathan's switching poses with Steve.
Note that Jonathan moves around quite a bit in this scene. He's constantly changing the positions of his arms and then at some points ends up in the exact position Steve is in.
He's looking at Steve.
Then they're almost sharing poses again.
Standing next to Steve and being closer than necessary while doing it.
Jonathan is the first and most vocal one to disagree with Steve's plan of driving through the gate.
Then he's also the first to make a point that they made it after all and where does he direct his happiness to?
Steve of course and he does it while touching his shoulder.
Even later it's the exact moment Steve makes a suggestion as to what to do next that Jonathan chooses to voice his disagreement.
This is especially interesting because he could have said something sooner when Nancy went on a rant about Hopper finding a solution. He could have tried to calm her down, could have tried to give her hope or he could have agreed or disagreed with her but he did nothing of the sort.
He kept his mouth shut until Steve decided to chime in.
Then he criticizes Steve for being the one to make the calls when it was Nancy's input that made Steve drive the car through the gate.
It was her decision just as much as it was Steve's but Jonathan doesn't criticize or even comment on Nancy at all. Just Steve.
It's almost like not focusing on Steve is an impossible task for him.
This however should not surprise us. We've seen this plenty of times before.

my appreciation for ruben pallister’s character stems, on the one hand, from the show’s deft recreation of the universal, horrifying experience of watching a damaged boy become a horrible man. which is great. and on the other hand, i love him because he answers the age old question: what if catherine earnshaw had a dick?
Is Donaka going to buy us a tiger cub? 👀
Uhhhhhh he definitely should!!! 🤭🤭
He buys it for status and intimidation and body disposal, but it becomes our baby...😂
Silly boys...
“Prize bleeder? Prize Bleeder!?” Astarion snarls as you glance up at him from between your eyelashes, fighting back the smile that threatens to make itself known. His brow furrows, crimson gaze narrowing with rage and accentuating the fine lines that grace his eyes. He almost spits as he hisses, “I’ve met chattel given more respect!”
“You’ve met chattel?” you ask, feigning curiosity and a playfully lighthearted mien in hopes that it will ease his foul mood. It doesn’t. “Are they good conversation?”
“Your cheek is unnecessary- as is that grin you’re failing to hide.” He snaps. “You shouldn’t have even considered drinking the potion she offered you.”
“I shouldn’t have,” you agree and nod sagely. “But I didn’t.”
“You didn’t,” he acknowledges with a heavy sigh. His tense expression slackens for a moment before tightening once again. The muscle in his jaw ticks once, twice, three times before he looks away. The tips of his tapered ears flush pink.
You wonder if the blood that floods beneath his porcelain skin is yours.
