1. I've been into hypnosis as long as I can remember. It probably started with hypnosis in the cartoons I watched as a kid, as I was enthralled with Kaa and Daphne being tranced in Scooby-Doo. And even when I was little the other kids saw that I stopped at the sight of Dracula.

13. I love visual stimuli for inductions. Spirals and pendulums can stop me in my tracks, as can a beautiful pair of eyes (hence the vampire and kaa fixations!). But the most hypnotic thing to me is a flickering candle, I can watch a candle flicker for hours.

8. How do you feel when hypnotized?

this is a trick to get me fuzzy isn't it It's the best feeling ever, and yet I'm having a hard time describing it. When I am hypnotized, I feel very heavy, yet floaty, almost like dropping to the bottom of the ocean. Sometimes I feel giggly too! To me it's very akin to those UFO or spinner rides, the ones that push you against the wall with gravity? Or even better, the ones that spin you *and* sway like a pendulum? Pure euphoria, and that's what hypnosis is :3

10. Are you a difficult subject?

I would say I'm not difficult generally, but I'm also not necessarily easy either. I like to describe myself as a tutorial boss - once you learn the stuff that pushes my buttons, I'm very easy to mess with and hypnotize. Given that resistance play is one of my favorite things though...I'm not that easy ;)

Given that the induction process is my favorite part of hypnosis generally this is a really hard answer cause there's so many options. That said, fractionationfractionationfractionationfractionationfractionationfractionation

14. What are your favorite kinds of hypnosis play?

Oh man, where to start. I personally love resistance play the most - it's such a fun time to see how long I'm able to stay up and of course when I eventually give in, it feels incredible. I also really like amnesia play cause it only works when I'm exceptionally deep. But once I am, goodness it's so much fun. Waking trance is so so so so so much fun - being able to be awake but also still hypnotized is the dream so yeah! And finally just, going insanely deep. Think you're deep enough? Nah we can go deeper. Ooooo it's the best. Big fan of this if you couldn't tell - there's so many more things I could mention.

11. What’s your ‘signature move’ as a hypnotist?

I don't really take on the Tist role ever but if I did it would be hypnotizing people by kissing their nose. Get zonked! 😘

Hiya! I actually have a post I wrote up a while back for this linked here. (If the link isn't working, it's called 'So You're Going To A HypnoCon' and tagged 'cons'.) I haven't thought about it in ages, but thanks to your ask I got to read it all over again. The reblogs of that post also have some other advice from fellow congoers as well.

But, here is my answer right now, and a bit condensed from that long post (which is optional reading). Be flexible - if you go into your hypnocon with a million plans and a rigid structure, you'll find yourself quickly overwhelmed and then beating yourself up for taking a break or resting, which no one wants! There is no one definitive way to do this - some people like attending as many classes as possible, some only really come out to socialize at night. My plan used to be, pick a handful of classes you really want to go to, have a list of some you might attend if you have the energy, and then leave the rest to vibes. There's a high energy in the con sometimes that can wear you out if you're not keeping an eye on your own energy levels.

You're not a passenger in this journey! Most cons including Charmed have a great con beginner track and lots of events aimed at socializing and meeting people. They stop just shy of pulling you into the rooms - you've got to make that step yourself. Often in the con discord, there will be people advertising board game or pizza or general socializing room parties, and there are tons of evening events that people often link up at as well. There's also a 'wish list' that often pops up in con space where people talk about scenes or ideas they want to talk about, and you can meet like-minded people there as well.

In my opinion, there are more new people attending these cons than before - I feel like it gets newer and younger every year! But that's me. There are definitely people who are con veterans who often go with their established partners and meet old friends, but many of them are also often happy to say hi and meet new people as well. Leading up to my first con, I also messaged several people I knew were attending to make plans to say hi - which you've also accomplished with this ask!

5. What's a good trigger word/phrase/mantra?

A while back I realized I'd moved a bit away from hypnosis and specifically asked to do more trancing. There was a lot of experimenting and ups and downs, and talking in between. I don't know if it was intended, but at one point in the conversation @spidersays said in a completely different tone of voice, enunciating every word, shut, the fuck, up. And I completely disappeared! Just gone. It was hot, and the kind of shit I love. We hadn't even agreed upon it or made any plans for that specific trigger, it was just automatic for me. Anyway. Hot.

9. Favorite song/lyrics that remind you of hypnokink?

There's probably a ton but one that I love for it is Villain by K/DA. It's a good song, and there are tons of evocative lyrics in it.

10. Favorite fixation?

This may be a cop out answer, but it's not an external focus like a spiral or body part or something shiny in front of me. I love to fixate on my uselessness, kind of. Physically, it can be the inability to even move or act of my own volition. It can be 'you're so helpless, all you can do is feel pleasure'. As I tend to overthink the focus on what signs are happening indicating I'm in trance is nice, including relaxation, thoughts drifting. Mentally, the fixation on how fucking stupid I am that I can't even put words together is a good one too.

I'm going to be so real with you, I just got back from visiting my family in Texas so I don't have a lot of brain power. Here's a short haiku-
