It was a very simple answer to Jaydin.

“Appearance-wise, they’re grotesque. Behavioural-wise, they can be alright. I have one, despite my dislike for Sableye, though he is a special case Pokémon, as he hatched within my custody.

The ship had set sail and although initially disappointment plagued his mind… soon Jake was able to relax and wait for an opportunity to present himself. Training was still necessary since he knew he’d get in at some point. However, the ship didn’t present a safe environment for everyone else while he trained. Most of his training tactics required a wide area or his pokemon would get hurt and Jake quickly found upon coming aboard the ship that security would be quick to stop any training he had in mind. At the most he could have his pokemon spar together in the battle area but it was almost always occupied by contestants wanting to try out their skills.

“Ohey, fire head!” Dakota spouted.

“So I recently found out that he is a she… Ho man, she’s really good at confusing people. Anyway, my thought still stands though! I would like to battle her one day because her Pokemon team look really intense and serious. However, she’ll probably kick me to the curb! At least I think…
