no worries!! i will openly admit to avoiding thinking about this one.

the official currency of obsian is “silver” royals, more commonly known as glimmers. each coin is about the size of a dollar coin, and made of a shiny silver metal, and they glow very slightly, like the lights in the cavern ceiling but dimmer. they might have the ruler’s heads printed on them, but nobody can really tell any more.

smaller denominations are literally just broken glimmers. there’s shards and splinters. two shards make a glimmer, four splinters make a shard. they aren’t sharp!! nobody’s broken coins in a good long while and they’ve had time to wear smooth

a couple of splinters will get you a candle on a street corner, a shard will get you a sandwich or something, and a glimmer will get you a basic meal.

you can also try and use any surface currency you had on you!! it won’t be worth what it was on the surface, but a handful of surface currency will get you a pretty decent meal. don’t try and pass off silver surface currency for glimmers, though. the constables get really cross about that

Timothy had been called up to Jack’s apartment, it was rare this ever happened for anyone and he knew that and so this felt slightly odd, something in the pit of his didn’t feel right. Well whenever he typically saw Jack it was to do with reporting in from missions or to discuss some pointless thing that literally served no purpose than for Jack to listen to the sound of his own voice.
