[curious not-so-anon] What was the first concept of this character/universe like for you? I recently saw an interview with Stephen King where he talks about Under The Dome coming to him as a vision of one of the ending scenes of the book. When the seed was planted, how did it start in your mind? And how did it come to you?
Actually, he started as a DnD character when I was in high school. Then I started reading Warhammer 40k and Arthur C Clark, and they all got thrown together.
