I watched How Your Mother Met Me tonight with my Mum and because she hasn't seen much of himym I had to explain all the references and jokes but it was good because she was getting really interested so hopefully she's a soon-to-be fan! I also ended up explaining the ending of the series and my fury at what happened and she totally agreed that, despite having only seen about 20 episodes of the whole series, the Mother shouldn't have died, and Swarkles should have lasted forever! If that isn't proof that the finale was a disaster then I don't know what is. For the record, even almost two months on I'm still unbelievably mad about the finale. Fuck you Carter and Craig. Rant over, sorry to anyone who actually read this.
