“Isn’t it lonely?” Lucifer knew well enough the kind of existence that came with that lack of belonging. Not a creature of heaven, nor of hell, but not human either. Earth was not intended for angel-kind and yet he’d made it a home, made Los Angeles a home, and its inhabitants his family. Perhaps it was a lack of experience down on Earth that prevented Lucifer from seeing the dangers that came with mortal connections, the loss so irrevocably interwoven with love. For now he lived in blissful ignorance.
“I find them plenty interesting, more interesting than celestials at the very least. My siblings could bore for purgatory, I’m telling you. Perhaps just a sign that I should start crossing pantheon lines a little more often.” He grinned.
