This is stupid. Hal is stupid. He's stupid and just so hard to deal with for long period of time. David can't be alone around him--can't be around him at all--without it grating on his very last nerve. The only exception to this apparent fact happened to be when he became an android and couldn't stop himself from panicking--from overheating. That's the only time in recent years that he let Hal close without so much as getting mildly annoyed by his presence. And now, it seems, he has to return the favor he received not too long ago. So he barges his way into the room where Hal tends to reside and tries to keep the explanation for his presence short.
"Hal, I know you keep crashing. I can see it when you're hooked up on the internet. I know that you're getting so god damn emotional you're overheating. What's worse is you're doing jack shit to remedy your rising body temp. I don't care how much you want to sob about heartache and fry out in hopes of shutting down. You're going to take care of yourself and I don't want to hear any complaints. Got it?"
